Smarter Balanced Assessments
Posted on 01/24/2018
Later this spring, we’ll complete our Smarter Balanced Assessments for students in Grades 3-5. Unlike multiple-choice assessments, these State tests better align with the typical work we do in classrooms (i.e., think critically, analyze information, make a claim, cite and use multiple sources, prove answers, write, complete multi-step problems, communicate, etc.).   READ MORE... about Smarter Balanced Assessments

Clarkes Family,

As sometimes we do, we’re wishing a fond farewell to members of the Clarke’s family, and we’ll be welcoming a few new faces. Please join me in thanking and welcoming the following:

Mrs. Annette Delbridge and Mrs. Doris Lais are retiring after many years of dedicated service to the children and families of the Molalla River School District.  It has been a real treat working with both and we wish them well!

Mrs. Michele Delimont, Miss Allison Blaskowsky, Miss Chantal Heagy, and Mrs. Stefani King are moving on to other assignments, and I know they’ll enrich the communities they’ll now be serving.  Thank you, and all the very best!

Mrs. Lindsey Bittner will be joining the team as our new Head Secretary.  Mr. Joel Taylor

(Mulino Elementary) will be joining the CES Team at Fourth grade.  Both bring a passion for serving kids, and are eager to get to know students and families.  Welcome to both!

In related news, Mrs. Lisa Shanklin will be joining Deanna Deller in team teaching First Grade next year, and we expect great things from that dynamic duo!

On behalf of our entire staff, thank you for a wonderful year and have a Great Summer Break!
